How you do anything is how you do everything.

Stories are about people. Miles Ahead is devoted to people and their stories.

We’re passionate producers looking for material that lights us up, something that we read and say “I will spend some of my limited time on this earth working to get this made”. Easy to say, hard to find.

Robbie Miles

Robbie Miles is a producer, screen industry strategist and educator with a relentless curiosity about how creative work really happens.

Across film, television and digital media, Robbie’s work spans development, production and leadership roles in Australia and the United States, collaborating with major studios, broadcasters and independent companies on projects ranging from web series to war epics. His practice is grounded in the principles that good ideas only matter when they can be meaningfully executed, and that how you do one thing is how you do everything.

Alongside his producing work through Miles Ahead Productions, Robbie leads industry engagement at the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS), where he works with creatives, companies, guilds and agencies to build a stronger screen and broadcast sector and forge sustainable careers. He previously served as Subject Leader for Producing and Production at AFTRS and continues to mentor emerging practitioners across the industry.

Robbie is a co-host of We Interrupt This Broadcast, where he explores the past, present and future of the screen industry through deep-dive conversations about craft, leadership and decision-making under pressure. He regularly moderates and speaks at national and international industry events and is represented by Saxton Speakers.

He is also the 2025 Mastermind Australia Champion and politely requests you refrain from giving him a wedgie.

He lives in Sydney on Gadigal land.

Gary Edwards

Before moving to film Gary was a mainstay of the Australian comic book scene.  He has been an active member of that industry for more than a decade as an award-winning writer and editor. He has served as a director of Gestalt Comics and Comics on Country, a not for profit dedicated to supporting First Nation creators in telling their stories through comics. Gary brings to Miles Ahead an inherent and deep knowledge of what makes a story work, and how they best can connect with an audience.

He lives in Melbourne on Wurundjeri land with his wife, his son, two dogs, and far too many comics.
